I was wondering if its possible to create a heat shield to go behind the exhaust manifold to stop heat getting to the fuel pipe, at the moment its quite close and the pipe is touching the bulkhead, so what can i use to stop heat from getting to the pipe and stopping the fuel heating up too much without re-routing the pipe.

cheers

there's close to zero airflow behind the engine, so your best bet would be to put a small fan down there to circulate the air

Just putting a slab of metal there is kinda like putting a similar setup in an oven, it's gonna get hot no matter what!

If there's zero airflow behind the engine, how does air get to cone air filters? :w00t:

Yeah there is air flow at the back of the engine. Otherwise no air will go to the carb :S

The engine sucks the air in! It doesn't get blown in

As long as all the connects are secure and the fuel line is in good condition i wouldn't worry, the extra heat will only help with combustion.
