i am after a rolling road, because my mini isnt really running well, after my stage one was fitted.
i will be coming from edinburgh and the nearest ones are minimaster and one near newcastle (dont know the name), but both are set up to tune minis :D

anyone had any experience with either?

:P

thanks

Just take it in to McDonald Minis in Edinburgh - he will sort it! No need to waste money on a rolling road for a stage 1 kit!!!!!!!!

i have been there several times (and he even installed it), but even he mentioned that a rolling road might be best!

Can't see why! A stage 1 is so simple. What needle is in the carb ?

It isn't if you're a novice. There's no way i could have got my Stage 1 998 running smoothly by myself, without doing more damage than good.

i am running a bdl in a hif44 (though originally it had a bbw as supplied by minispares). the old needle bogged the car down, the bdl is better, but it has several flat spots and it drinks fuel! the car has been on an analyser and set up.
oh and i disagree about it being simple, on mlsport theres a guy on there who custom makes needles even for stage one kits with no other mods

Finch.

Simon at miniworks did my Stage one on the 998 and its a 1275 beater.

took a bit more than a RR would as he needs to run it and tweak, run and tweak.

The one near Newcastle that youre thinking about is probably Green and Whites Minis, (which is actually nearer Durham).

They dont have a website but you can find their phone number easy enough if you just google Green and Whites Minis :(
