Im thinkin maybe a better shell for my mini would be better because there is quite a lot of rust on it. But mine's a 1993 and the one i've seen in descent nick is supposed to be a mk2... what i was wondering is will everything fit from my car to the mk2 ?

They'll be different subframes as well. And you may well have to use a Q plate, but I won't go into all that again...

Right, its gonna cost me at least 400 quid in panels to fix my rust bucket so im now looking at the possibility of buying a recon shell. It's from a mini company and is 800 quid without doors, boot or bonnet and they deliver. What do you people think i should do... its a mint shell and seems pretty good for the money.
Anyone want to help me decide... ohh, and its been etch primed and then primed with normal primer as well.
Help!!!

It is not possible to use a second hand shell, recon or otherwise and legally retain your cars current identity and registration. Your car would no longer be a Rover Mini, it would be a home built car in the eyes of insurance companies and the DVLA and would be re-registered as a Q (at your expense).
The only option other than having the repair work done is to buy a new, unused shell from a BMH dealer. By doing that you can retain your cars identity.
