Im generally VERY good at stuff like this, but im a taaad confused with this one.

I have a 250w max, 2 Channel bridgeable Alpine MRP-T222 amp powering a single Jbl GT5-12

And a 360w max, 4 Channel (2 Channel Bridgeable) Alpine MRP-F242 amp, Which will be Powering 2 rear Jbl GTO 527s (45w rms, 135w peak each) and 2 Alpine SXE1025S up front behind the dash (20w RMS, 80w Peak each)

Now, I have the cable for the sub, and the cable for the rear two speakers. I know the Amps can share 1 Remote wire, And i do have the connectivity for 3 sets of RCA leads. (One sub out, one front out and one rear out)

Would i get away with Using one 4AWG Cable to a distribution block (a 50a fuse on the short 4AWG, or a seperate fuses on the 8AWG?) , then two 8AWG leads to each amp, and do the same with the earths (obviously unfused) , as im typically after the least amount of wiring possible, but do feel that i need both front and rear channels seperate.

Just need somebody to clarify this as to the best way of doing things, as i feel seperate feeds to each amp are unnessecary.

That`s pretty much it.

Run the earths the same way as your power feeds.

Realistically you need a 30 amp fuse on the 4 gauge, 15 amps on the other two cables.

For every time you change a wire size, you need a fuse.

add to that keep all cable runs as short as possible, and fuse each amp buy its self... i wouldnt put to many fuses in line with each other either as the more you have the least likely they are to work and kill your amps...
so if your pwering 2 amps get one of those dis. boxes and dont keep changing cables sizes...KISS!

Keep. It. Simple. Stupid!!!

Thanks lads,

in that case then, 4awg to distribution block, then a 20a on one 8awg feed for the one amp (20a rated) and 25a on another 8awg for the other (25a rated)

shouldnt need to bother about the 4awg being fused, as theres not really a cable run from the battery to the boot is there

most amp wiring kits off the shelf, if i were to use one of those then the fuse would end up next to the amp lol

(edit: just before my audio kindly got ripped apart by thieves, i had two 8awg's running to each amp, fused as above. i really cant see need to upgrade to 4awg as that ran fine, and stayed cool. Used to be an electrician y'see :errr: )

also, if this confused anybody 'then two 8AWG leads to each amp' i meant one 8awg to each amp, 2 leads in total :D
