hi guys just recently got my self mintex m1155 pads and grooved and drilled disks and not so happy with them. I have found im getting brake fade pritty easy so i looked it up and found its not recomended to match these together, is this true? should i run them on standard disks?

not heard of a problem with pairing these two together.

How long have you had them fitted, considering they wont be run-in and working correctly until you've done about 500miles worth of braking.

some disc materials and pad combinations just wont work as you expect.Theres nothing wrong with the pads, and having slots or drillings wont effect brake fade.
Where did you get the discs from or what make are they?
As said they may still need bedding in,but this will normally result in less bite rather than brake fade.
So they work ok until they have been applied a few times?
Is the peddle going spongy or is it merely a case of lack of bite when hot?

Thanks for the replys they are both from minisport they are the 8.4" drilled and grooved disks.
After about 3 or 4 hard brakes they fade pedal still hard but hardly any braking at all i have also done over 500 milles with them. i use to have m1144s on standard disks and they were great.
thanks guys

obviously a incompatible disc material,i would personally ring minisport and explain to them your not happy,as they sold them they should know,if they dont then they will now!!!
the standard discs you were using were obviously a different material, its nothing to do with grooves or such.
