Mini Super
1967 (some bodyshell later)
Having recently had my previous car stolen, and about to get my mini on the road for the first time, I am looking to equip it with a security system. Could someone recommend a retrofit central locking system, alarm/immobiliser and tracker. I don’t want to spend the earth, but I do want it to be reliable and robust!
Most of the shell around the doors (and doors) are modern 1980-1990
Thanking you in advance!

Very cheep yet efective security measure!!!! I fitted an electric fuel pump and wired it through a ( secret ) switch hiden in the car. wont go more than a mile if someone nicks it. I tend to switch the pump off when i stop and let the engine run down for 30-40 secs before i turn it off. now it wont go more than 100 yds.

Yeah, I considered that one (wiring doesn’t bother me!). In fact, I will do that tomorrow and perhaps look at future solutions also.

Minispares sell an alarm/immboliser, and you can also add on central locking and electric windows if you so choose.
ive just bought the alarm, and going to buy the central locking in a few weeks time, i think trackers are quite expensive though, as i thought about one, but was put off by the price at this moment in time
The alarm also has a shock sensor, and can be programmed to operate a boot popper, and a remote engine start
