someone at work wired his tool box up to a 12v battery, gave me a tingle when i went to take a tool out, lol

Haha , bet you felt like a ******* , I know i would :D
Like when I was on work experience the guy tried to trick me into thinking I couldnt open his toolbox, it has a little catch on the bottom that you pull and then you can pull the tray out. He tried to convince me that you didnt need to press anything just pull , failed though didnt he

heres mine, battery cut-off switch, fuel and ignition switches, tracker, and its chained up everynight, both front wheels to steel fences, and a chain through both back wheels to a hoop in the ground, and a security light on the wall, yes, youve probably guessed it, i do live in a shitty area, where yobs are likely to nick it, although they probably wont be able to start it, as the other security feature is a choke, lol

it is a bit of a bugger if im in a hurry, but at least itll always be there, or if it is taken i can track it and get it back, lol

i used to have people stealing parts from my minis when i lived in birmingham, light lenses, head lights, mirrors etc, ended up with a big crowbar behind my front door, gravel drive, and an always open ear, even when i slept! chased a few people with the crowbar, never had a problem after that lol

I read somewhere that you can secure one of those cheap payg mobile fones somewhere secret in your car and have it plugged into a charger that is always charging whenever you turn on the ignition. this makes it traceable and I think you have to make a fone call from the fone every six months or something to keep the sim active ?? you could fone a chat line

It won't stop anyone taking your Mini but you can locate it..It's a lot less expensive than a Tracker and a GPS won't work in tunnels or buildings but mobile phones do.
1. Buy a cheap mobile phone ( You can get one for £10.00 ) buy a sim with £10.00 on it make one call and register it
2. Buy a car charger.
3. Wire the charger to a permanent live.
4. Hide the phone under the dash somewhere (not so easy on a Mini) and fix it securely then connect the charger to the phone secure with a cable tie.
5. Switch the phone on and leave it on. If ever the car gets stolen, or you simply want to check up on your cars location, just look up its location online & either pass on the details to your local police - or go sort it yourself. Even if they disconnect the car battery the mobile will still be on until the battery runs down..... That could be over a week.

6. Join this........ http://www.traceamobile.co.uk/
Trace A Mobile Official Website - Mobile Phone Tracking, Find A Mobile, Free Registration, Lost Phone.
There are quite a few web sites, which for a small fee, will track down a mobile phone signal to within 150 metres - just google ' mobile phone tracking '

Or http://www.childlocate.co.uk/

http://www.findyourchild.net/

You will be able to track the car at all times. If you have a smart phone you could use that to track it...........

There are alarms that take a sim card and have a gps chip to text their exact location to you, some also have features you can operate by sms.

Re-wire your ignition, be tight like me so only buy one colour of wire (blue in my case), labelled discreetly.

Someone tried to steal my old car, took the shroud off and was unable to get it started so I found it sitting there the next morning with the door open
