I am having some stainless steel distributor splash gaurds made up, these will mount on new brackets on the cylinder head studs rather than the rocker cover bolts as this can be a pain if you have an aftermarket rocker cover fitted. I will be able to have names added into the upper most section along the lines of 'Mini Cooper', 'Mini' and just wondered what other things people would be interested in such as 1380, 1275GT etc.

Sounds god Jon, I'd like to see some pictures but sounds like it would be perfect for replacing my rubber glove!

Maybe 'Turbo' or 'Cooper S' wold do well?

Will hopefully have a sample in the next week. I will be able to do one-off items with individual names but obviously there would be a slightly longer waiting time on these and possibly a slight price increase due to the extra set up costs. I am hoping however to have them available at a very similar price to the naff plastic ones you can currently buy so wont be too hard a hit on the wallet!

My aim is to keep them around the same cost as a plastic item which are around 40-quid, but will have to wait until the figures come back from my laser cutters. Plain ones will obviously be cheaper and depending on how much extra the names will be to add and how good they come out another option could be a good quality sticker added to them ;-)

someone mention stickers ??

I'd be keen on one for the Mk2 - the plastic ones were tempting, but in stainless I cant resist ! - send some info to smiffy, of smiffy's bits...........its the sort of thing he'd lap up and sell along side his other stainless parts and components

Initial prototype is now on order, so should have something to show next week. This will be a plain item but I will also offer them with a few different names cut into them. They will be a complete kit with new top brackets to attach to the cylinder head studs rather than the rocker cover which often causes problems when using an aftermarket rocker cover.

Have been busy with other projects so this has been on hold for a while but have finally got round to trying it in a car. It needs some slight adjustment but reckon it has potential. Mounting brackets are now sorted and a kit will hopefully be ready in the next 2-weeks or so. This is a satin finish stainless steel one but I will also have a polished item available. Plain ones will be a similar price to the plastic items you can buy and i will hopefully have a selection with some more common names added, eg MINI, Cooper etc and there is the possibility of 'one-off' items with your own name cut out.

looks good. deff think it needs something on top tho too much of a plain sheet if you know what i mean. A polished one would look lovely in a styled engine bay.
