Helloo,

right had my mini a couple of years now, gave it a full resto when i got it but due to a mix up with the paintshop the paint has now dulled and it doesnt look quite as good as it did when it first came out the garage ;). I took it off the road with full intention to start again and make him shiney again! but due to moving house and other financial restraints ( student -_- ) so far ive been unable to do anything about it am starting to think of selling it...... :(

What im not sure abotu though is how much its worth...

its a J reg city E (998), with 40,000 on the clock, very verylittle rust though a dent to the rear offside corner, paint needs a bit of attention but other than that a lovely car and never let me down.... what do you guys think? (some photos on my profile)

nooooo dont get rid of it you really wil regret it and that is what everyone else is going to say. There is nothing you can really do with it going doll the only thing that is going to fix it proply is a new paint job BUT there is one thing give it a good mop im not sure you will have one to be honest but if you do just give it a mop but it wont stop it going back doll it will need doing atleast once a month

nice looking car, you will regret selling, i have with everyone I have sold, to be honest I guess you need to decide what you want for it, advertise it and see what response you get.

But everytime someone comes to look and it, and picks holes you will get defensive and in the end want to keep it.

Its waiting for a new paint job now, ill paint it myself with the help from my dad, but I have so much going on right now im not sure i can afford it, and its also kepy 200 miles away at my parents home so not like i can just pop out into the garage and work on it on an evening.

I know i dont want to sell it but it might be a necessesity.... which is the most annoying bit. I hate going home and see the paints got even worse... its so bad it even reacts with water if its sat on it too long, and makes it have a blue tinge to it....
i duno jsut playing with all options at the moment i guess

Howdy,

I sold a J Reg City with Cooper S running gear, genuine minilites and stage 1'd 998cc a couple of years back when I got my VW Camper. Wish I hadn't now as the Camper has gone due to a change of circumstances and not feeling the vibe of the VeeDub scene anymore. Now I am after a mini again as a little runabout.

At the end of the day, if you need to sell then that's what you must do, but don't do it just because at the mo she's having a rough time, you will regret it if thats the case!

Anyway, you're a student, so just spend your loan on it and when you finish studenting just don't get a job paying high enough so you haven't got to pay your loan back! Simple!

Oh, forgot to mention, I got £1500 for mine with a full MOT.
