Thanks for the info.
I have 3 sets of 10" wheels. mambas, old style dunlop alloys and some Wellers (yummy) the only ones that will fit over the KAD Template are the Wellers(Typical)
I am going to run the 12" cooper wheels and brakes for the first few months! and then decide which kit and wheels I like best.
8.4 to 7.5

Right, after buying minisport 4pots with vented discs i found that my Mambas would not fit - when I called MiniSport they said that the only wheels that don't fit over their calipers are Mambas and Cooper S Reverse rims!

Would they fit over non-vented alloy 4 pots?

Aparrently they don't fit over the 4pots at all! (vented or non vented!)

to be fair I didn't tell them what wheels i had but I bought the car with 100+ minilite style wheels and they fit on them as long as you use knock-on wheel weights and not the stick on ones!

I have a set of Minisport 4 pots, 10" steel go over them perfectly ok, but mine are the non vented 7.5's instead of the 7.9's if that make any difference.

I thought about going to Cooper s type disks and 4pots but they will cost more.
I would need to change drive flanges too.
I used to set my brakes on fire regularly on my old 998 checkmate so vented 7.9's are a better choice for a 1275 or indeed the 1340 "S" motor I have tucked away for a rainy day

I've heard bits and bobs about fitting Honda discs onto drum brake backplates - it involves cut-down Honda discs, re-drilled to take the mini stud pattern, and an adaptor plate to bolt the caliper onto
I think it was 90-95 Honda's that had the correct brakes to use, and it's apparantly a fairly popular mod in australia?
anyone got any more info on this setup?

well - found a bloke who apparently sells them

Might be worth a try if anyone can get their hands on a set of calipers+brakes?
