ok i currently have 8.4 disks on my mini,

looking to upgrade them

first is there much differance between the fiesta brakes and mini 8.4

i'm runing 12" wheel so space is not a problem.

if any one has done the change would they recommed it.

another option i was think was 8.4 slotted and groved disk and green stuff pads.

looking in to the metro vented brakes ( would perfer vented)

but i only seem to find 4 pot ones and can be very pricy, your thought thank steve

The only real reason to do the Fiesta conversion is to be able to fit 10" wheels. I've not noticed any increase in performance over 8.4" discs. It can also get expensive.

If I wanted to keep 12's I'd just go for grooved discs and fast road Mintex or similar pads and give the whole system a good service. If you've not done it before, bleed the whole system, make sure all your rear brakes are working fine, maybe change the shoes and cylinders.

Nowt wrong with a well serviced standard system :w00t:

Totally agree with this.

Are you upgrading for results or bling factor. Nothing wrong with bling, but the brakes are not something to be messed with just for the hell of it.
You mention that You would like vented disks, yes you would need 4 pot callipers as the disks just will not fit in the standard calliper.
I fitted new 8.4 disks, Green stuff pads, New stainless pistons in the callipers, new seals, braided hoses, bled the system right through and painted the drums and callipers red. Result? great stopping power and a look that gets noticed and comented on by others. Total cost? less than £100.
