the number plate off my old mini is F348 KKK, at work yesterday my boss told me it could be worth a bit as there is a ferrari f348. The online value things only value it at 250, but what could it be worth really?

Heres the problem...

The plate is currently on my old mini, that has no mot or tax, as i rolled it big stylee, and if im right i need tax and mot to put the number on retention? If thats true how do i get round it, as theres no way the mini its on will ever pass an mot....

car has to be legal i would check out what the plates worth first befre you splash cash on getting the car fixed

Theres no way the car can be fixed, i rolled it end over end three times, if it could be fixed i would have. Thats where im stuck, if i declare it as scrap, then ill lose the plate as well.

What catergory of damage was the car classed as? If its been a cat B then you cant sell the plate. Did you have to send the log book back to the insurers?

as i was the only car involved i didnt go through the insurance, i just changed the insurance over to my black mini, its currently sitting on a sorn

yes, i did get a fair few comments on the plate, once from the wrong kind of people

I transfered a number with no mot. It was about to reach the 18 month time limit of the mot. After that, the car needs to be scrapped to remove the number. The car was taxed at the time and DVLA did inspect the vehicle.

So check with DVLA.

Just buy it, and let a family member use it till you have another car
