Do you mean to hold head unit? if so have similar a black plastic tray with a normal single din sized hole, I needed to use blocks of wood under and each side of head unit to get it level in slot still moves about some but ok.
For ease I ended up zip tying it to lower dash rail under the passneger side looks pretty good and means its not like solid mounted either so less vibes to it, I needed to drill one hole in rail and used an existing and had to trim tray to fit far enough back.
See picture attached, I have tidied up all wiring now and i think looks quite neat, but do need to use remote on head unit as its to far away to reach over whilst driving lol!

No worries zip ties are your friend in this instance, and i have used them for many things on mini, speaker pods are held on with them as my alarm box to.
As long they dont pass through a hole that has sharp edges should last for ages, and provides some give for vibes etc.

My Italian Job had a stereo frame fitted under the dash as standard. The fixing holes are kind of under the front dash rail, if you look from underneath you'll be able to see them. I should think a couple of nuts and bolts will do the trick although the factory frames had a fixing at the back as well, you could always make something out a piece of metal bracket though.
