Hi All

Have a Mini Pickup that has the same layout bulkhead wise as a Mk1. What do people use as the fresh air intake pipe that runs along the driver's inner wing, and through the hole in the bulkhead then down to the heater unit?

I have the later style heater in it, not the original recirculation type.

Cheers
Dan

The Mk1 hose is an odd size. You may have more luck sourcing the smaller diameter Mk2 hose and the adapters to "enlarge" its ends to fit the heater and the intake scoop. If that's not successful, measure the OD of the heater hose connections (3-1/4" rings a bell) and start browsing through online industrial suppliers catalogs looking for corrugated hose. Plastic holds up better than the treated paper hose material.

I bought the pipework and brackets , made a hole in the bulkhead and a cylindrical flange for the air pipe to attach inside.
As I replaced the entire front end, I used a later style inner wing with a hole for the fresh air pipe.
I used a small Hammerite tin to form the flange around-just the right size, and a piston ring compressor to lock it in position while I welded.
