Thought the size was four inch.

its worth the extra stretch on the pocket.

4 inches sounds about right, I've just fitted some of these bad boys no problem:

4 inch or 10cm is what you want, to fit in without any or very little hacking at the dashboard to get them to fit, you could fit bigger but you may not get it to fit right drivers side due to clocks being there

oh ok
but i was going to order the dashboard of the internet so i might ask if 6 inch speakers will fit as it is a custom dashboard so they will make it to how you want it.

Why not go for some smaller but better power handling speakers for the same price? They will be easier to fit.

The other problem you may face is that the speakers will be too deep. I have 13cm speakers in my dash and the one on the passenger side fits OK but the one on the drivers side is very limited on space and needs to be spaced out by about 1cm in order to get the correct clearance between the back of the speaker and the panel that the air vent connects to. Obviously this only affects my car cause it has a side mounted binnacle.
