Hi guys, ages since I've been on here (maybe thats a good thing) :-

My stereo got a bit watery after all the snow and it was *melon* - so i ditched it
I've got some speakers on the shelf and a nice amp in the boot - all connected up
So at the front (where the box unit would go for the stereo facia) I took the speaker cables, got a nice connecter from phono to mini-jack, plugged it into my Ipod

Nothing.

Why?
What do I need to do? :teehee:

Any help is appreciated :-

The headunit would have had a lead telling the amp when to power up - you ipod doesn't have this so you will need to rig it up to the ignition or a switch to turn the amp on and off with the ignition.

It is normall the blue wire out of the multiplug of a radio connector.

Thanks Squire - That'll do it - Can i fix it to the live on the ignition and expect that to work? How much will that be draining?

A nads lower region, bang it on, itll be fine. If your really that worried about it, bang in a relay.

Even then say youve got a mid 80`s or so mini....

top spade on the right hand side run it from there.
