Remove inner door furniture Inner trim panel off, remove the vapour barrier carefully (if fitted) then undo the four screws holding in the regulator - and wind the window down - you may have to free off the dum dum putty holding the regulator inbut sooner or later you'll get the regulator to budge it has a loaction slot at the front edge that often takes some persuasion to come out - as soon as it does the regulator drops - wind window until arms at 11 & 1 o'clock positions - and the window will come off the runners. Now survey how bad the bottom tracks are - normally bu**ered if so gently - yes gently prise open the track - doesn't take much and the glass will lift clear. If the bottom tracks are good (unlikely) take off the inner & chrome /plastic trim and remove as a whole - you can then take the tracks off the glass off the car....

Doddle of a job shouldn't take more than 20 mins..

Isn't it in Haynes?

Chock the glass in the up position (turn the door upside down if it's off)

Unscrew the winder mechanism, then turn the handle until you can remove the mechanism from the runners on the glass.

With the mechanism out, the glass can be lowered and tilted forwards so it comes out of the channel. Taking the waist seals off makes it a bit easier to remove from the door.

Follow all the above advice but also remember this - once you have the glass out you need to have a place to put it !
Have an old blanket / sheet / something ready to put your window glass onto.
Sounds stupid and obvious but the first time I took the glass out of a door I was left holding it like Frank Spencer thinking
"Ummm... what now..." ?

I normally use a strip of gaffer/tank/duct tape stuck to the glass, over the top frame and onto the other side of the glass to hold the glass,
