We have been invited to join the Medway monkeys, (which is a club for modded pre 80's vehicles, but all minis are accepted as they were first produced in 1959), for a local event and i think we should consider this one.
They also have a few Mini owners and i think it would be good for the club to have a few joint ventures.
Here is the invite.
Hi Yoda,
As you might already know I’m organising the St.Botolphs Church meet on the 24th July.
The event is a charity fund raiser for the church and free to enter. This year I’m aiming to get as many classic cars at the show as possible to draw in the crowds.
It would be fantastic to see a selection of Minis at the show. So if you, your son and a few of the other Medway Mini boys wanted to come along you are all very welcome!
Last years event was a huge success and we only had 10 cars on the stand.
This year’s show is promising to be better with the local papers, radio and even Meridian TV advertising the event.
I’m also in contact with the editor of Retro Cars magazine because they’re interested in covering one of our Medway meets.
As well as the Medway Monkeys I’ve invited some members from the BHRA, Invictor Roadsters, and OldskoolFord.
So hopefully we should have an impressive line up of cars on display.
Let me know if you are interested.
