Hello TMF members.

I ordered and engine from Morspeed 12 months ago and after been given the run around for 12 months I'm taking him to court.

Anyone have a similar story or do you know of any cases pending as I would be surprised to be the only one.

Look forward to any replies on this topic.

Jimmy.

i have to say i have never bought anything that big though. good luck with the court case i hope you get the outcome you deserve as thousands of pounds in this climate is a lot of money to be with out.

There as been numerous issues with this company. A search will highlight many threads on the forum.

The biggest thread and worth a read would the pinned thread dedicated to Oli's mini. You may also want to contact Prawn and/or Oli's family for advice of going to court againist morspeed.

Follow Jordie's advice and drop Prawn a PM - no point in throwing good money after bad if there's little prospect of him paying you back.

I can see this becoming a matter for the police if it continues.

PM me your details and what you have ordered, i'll get in touch with them and find out whats going on. When i went down a few weeks ago they had several engines sitting in the workroom ready for collection along with several other engine bits and bobs.

I have never personally had a problem with their services, and i'm awaiting funds to take more work to them.

mini30dude, are you the guy they ware telling me about who drove from belgium to drop off your engine and left without leaving any contact details at the time?

Not the best idea, but also why should that matter now? Obviously contact was made to arrange the work and drop off the engine. And hes contacted Morspeed via telephone and email, so Morspeed will be aware of the person and his contact details and the engine referred to

It matters because if it is Bram, i know about his engine. When i was at the workshop i was never told his name so this is a possible link that could help to resolve the situation easier.

I'm offering to help TMF members out as i have successfully previously, but if this thread turns into a TMF slagging off Morspeed bandwagon then i will recind the offer i'm afraid.

Pete, it'd be great if you could help try and resolve the above two issues. Nice offer to do so.

I do think we need to use threads to resolve problems, rather than just let people re-list previous issues. I do, however, feel that it shouldn't be down to a third party to step in.

Anyway, I agree with what people have said, research the feasibility of court cases and what you would gain, but treat that as a last resort. Try to resolve any issues in person, where possible.

I've just re-read what I've written above and it doesn't seem like the sort of thing I'd normally say at all! :errm:

And remember, people are more likely to complain about problems than sing someone's praises for delivering a good service.

Morspeed have the amazing talent to "post" things to the wrong address, but then 2 weeks later, claim that they're still waiting for parts and haven't started work on it!

It's a unique and incredible talent!

** This is from first-hand experience and is by no means jumping on any bandwagon!
