hi all

finally i have got the second calliper i needed and everything all painted up and started to fit it yesterday but when i came to put my wheel on i found the calliper was still touching the inside of the wheel do i have to grind the calliper or do i have to use a spacer? I don't remember it saying anything in the video or on here saying i needed spacers or that i needed to grind off the calliper or is it just the wheels i have are incrediably small inside for some reason (i am using some weller copy's)

any help will be most appreciated

michael

as far as i know i have metro hubs i got them from the classified section here. But what difference could that make my wheels touch the edges of the callipers
Is there much difference between mk1 and the mk2 callipers i have?

i have the hubs that have been drilled up to take the fiesta calliper bolts.
As far as i know the flanges are metro ones but how can i see to be sure??

Looking at the wheel and the flange it looks like i will need 10mm spacers

You should NOT use Metro hubs - the suspension geometry goes to h3ll. You DO need Metro vented disc drive flanges.... Mine fitted fine under the Exacton alloys - plenty of room in fact - they were MK I F calipers. You could fit a 1/8" spacer - won't do any harm - or simply file a bit off the caliper if it's just at the edge. But honestly - I would get better wheels!
