Hi all --

I bought a 1973 Austin Mini 1000 (Austin America) about 2 years ago - a bit of a project, but had some good parts (GT7 longman head, lightweight flywheel, superfin rear brakes, HighLos). It had a 1275 but wouldn't start due to elecrical issues. I replaced the wiring with a Painless wiring harness and had a US Mini specialist rebuild the 1275 and rod change transmission. It's LHD since it came from Canada originally.

Since then I've replaced the original cone suspension with green Fortech coils, added KAD vented brakes, and a KAD short shift kit. For the first time I've actually got the car where I can drive it whenever I want, and most of the big projects are complete. I still need to replace the rear subframe (due to rust) and floor pans, but that's about it.

Anyway, I just wanted to introduce myself and let you know I'll be participating in the forum discussions.

Cheers,
Jeff

Oh, here's the URL to my online photo gallery of the car - Blue's Photo Gallery
