Hi guys
Just a quick one.
I have had my mini stood up for a while now and i went to have a play with it yesterday and the clutch pedal wont go down it is rock solid. Does anyone got any ideas to what is wrong with it. I am thinking seized slave cylinder but i am just guessing.

Seized slave cylinder sounds about right. On the engine I bought, the rubber seal had popped off and the engine been stood for a while. There was so much rust inside the thing, it was never going to move again.

I'd say 99% certain its the throw arm on the clutch housing where it pivots. Free it off by tapping forewards and backwards with a hammer.
Get plenty of penetrating oil round it, then I use spray grease on it.

Roll up, roll up, place your bets
I'm going with Mike's diagnosis, both are possible.

My clutch was as stiff as, so i just plopped a bit of grease where the arm thingy moves in the engine bay into the bearbox thingy and its perfect now.
I apologise for the lack of technical knowledge/words

No - he said he hammered the slave cylinder. We should've insisted it was stripped down
