im probably going to be buying a mini cooper 1.3i. will that be an mpi or spi?whats the diff. can i do the same carb conversion in minimag with an mpi?

MPI was 1996 onwards

Although My SPi was made in 1996, but they are easy to tell apart. when looking at the engine. Radiators in a different place for a start!

I still think if you want a carb just buy an older mini, without a cat

With an MPI the conversion is a whole lot more complicated, as you'll have to replave pretty much the entire contents of the engine bay, including the wiring loom
