I managed to get it into first, but had to burry the pedal into the carpet. There is nothing in the clutch at all until its about 1cm from the floor. I can push the pedal down with very little force (Unlike it is normally).
Basically the bite is right at the floor now, At one point there was no bite, And I pumped the clutch, Got a bit out of it.
Any ideas?

the same thing happened to me today!!!
Me too

Bleed the system through, sounds like you have a leak somewhere
I've tried this, Worked fine for a day
Now the pedal is the same as it was to start with, Fcuked

I can't find any leaks
the Slave cylinder was changed a few months back
What next?

try another slave cylinder it is not uncommon to get new parts that are fualty.
It was canged by last owner 9 months ago and done 3.5k since
By a rover dealer
Was replaced with a genuine rover short arm verto slave cylinder
Pedal feels fine but it grinds when u try to select gears especially reverse
didn't do this, this morning

Have tryed to re-blead 2night in the dark, still no joy

Was quite simple actually, And im proud of myself as Ive explored another part of my engine bay now!

Firstly I located the bleed nipple.
Then I filled the resivior up with Dot 4.
Then I got my lil sister to sit in the car, and push the pedal to the floor.
I then Undid the nipple and LOADS of fluld came pouring out.
She then pumped the pedal, And held it to the floor again. I undid the nipple again to release a load more fluid.
In the process of this, I also gave my master cylinder / slave cylinder a GOOD soaking in some "Handy Oil". And my clutch is really smooth now too. Feels like a new car...
So cheers for the help. Clutch is great noiw!
