i'm going to get myself a pair of these as they seem impressive.
but i'm struggling to decide where to put them i would ideally love to put them in the rear shelf and cover them over with acoustic cloth
to avoid the chav look,
do they fit? has anybody had them there? did they sound okay, not tinny or rattley?
failing this i'll whack them under the seat.

thanks :P

I had some under the seat at one point. You would have to cut the holes on the parcel shelf to fit 6x9s in there. They are quite good, nice and bassy and a good treble.

i have the black death ones! they do fit with cutting on the shelf i havent had them running in my mini but ive got another pair in my ibiza and they are amazing, very impressed with the all round with these bass is very good! i did try and put them under the seat but they didnt fit with the grill on and didnt want people kicking them so moved them to the parcel.

that's good news then, thanks guys.
i think i'll take a closer look at the shelf and see what i can do.
i'm thinking a mdf base, speakers and then some acoustic cloth to hide them and avoid the chav-ness, good idea or....?

mine are showing because i have a blue parcel shelf and the black death grill is quite nice so fort i would let them be shown.

anyway think it will be hard to hide them with the size. totally up to you i don't think its very chavy if you have them showing.

Personally i would think you'd have trouble getting these on your mini's parcel shelf. These are big speakers especially the depth of them, you would have to offset the parcel shelf with very thick mdf to allow clearance of the petrol tank. The hole also would have to be larger than usual 6x9 holes and a square hole won't be as strong as a round one. You'd be better off with them under the rear seats in my opinion.
