hi there people im currently restoring a mk1 golf gti and would like sum quick advice..... i would like to roll it onto its side to paint the underneith after some welding work... i dont have a jig/rotisarie would anyone recomend an old matress or perhaps car tyres??

its been done before on alot of cars, so aslong as you are carefull and take your time, you will be able to roll it on its side.

obviously dont try this with the engine in place. and if fuel tanks, screenwash bottles etc are fitted, make sure you drain these before rolling it over.

or make light easy just strip it down to a bare shell :thumbsup:

personal id roll it onto some matress :D
