Went along to Harry Fairbairn MINI on Tuesday to see the new MINI COUNTRYMAN, and I drove there in my mini countryman :gimme: .
Here are some of my pictures from Tuesday :o

First time I have seen a new & old countryman together ;D

What did I think of it

Honestly if this came out a few years ago when our children
were younger I would have had one on order. Why not, if your after a 5 door
car you could do a lot worse, it will be well made and you can take it to MINI shows.
Like the clubman (I didn't like it when it was released, but likey now) it will grow on
people, right colour spec and a nice set of wheels and people may change there opinions.

Will I buy one ???????????

In a couple of years when I go to change the merc I would :o
It could be my tow car for taking the real countryman to shows faaaaaaaaaaaaar away, a good specced COOPER S 4x4 in white or one that looks like the WRC car :w00t:
It will not be a common as the Nissan Qashqai or as ugly as an X1, and it's cheaper than a Q5, so there you go :shifty: be different get a MINI.

Thank god we all don't like the same things :w00t: life would be rather boring and we
would all be driving arround in that BUGATTI VEYRON SS  (from last weeks TOP GEAR)

one of the most thought provoking things ive seen this week. theres so many differences im tempted to take a drive down to see one just to get a closer look. i still havnt made my mind up about the MINIs i kind of like them without liking them. but that is kind of tasty however would take your classic over the modern anyday :o

and the veyron was bloody gorgeous :shifty:

I love the original mini its an amazing example! i can see why bmw are making this new model but i wish they would call it something other than a mini :shifty:

The new Mini Countryman looks like a Diahatsu! Look at the lights and the 'squared away' styling of the thing.

No, I do not like. :shifty:

Thanks for posting, very nice pictures of both!........please post them on the TotalMini.com forum if you get a chance, many of the members would love to see these.
Agree with you, especially how the MINI Clubman grows on you........have seen some really low and nicely modded ones at the shows recently on the Clubman register stand.
Rumour has it their will also be a very quick road going JCW special edition of the WRC Countryman in the near future. :o

That is a beautiful countryman that you have there, and interesting to see it in contrast to the BMW version, thanks for sharing some great pictures.

I like the 'face' on the new countryman but really don't like the 'bum' and don't like the plastic arches at all! I saw one in the bullring yesterday and it wasn't as big as I thought it would be to be honest...

That classic countryman is gorgeous! :shifty:

Thanks for taking the time to take those pictures, very interesting :shifty:.

Although, in my opinion, that MINI Countryman doesn't even look similar to the normal New MINI's!

Agree with you about the classic Countryman. :shifty:

The new MINI Countryman is 4m long, about the same as the latest 5-door Fiesta or Corsa and is the max size any MINI in the range will ever be according to BMW. Its nearest competitor will be the new Nissan Juke small SUV..............now thats what I call ugly!

Nissan Juke:
http://www.autoexpre...issan_juke.html
"Under the skin it is effectively the Renault/Nissan B platform which underpins the Clio, Micra and Note."

Anyone else see the irony here

be different get a MINI

:shifty: to me not getting a MINI is being different! They're everywhere!

I am slowly losing my dislike of the new brand. I still think they should use they're own names for models.

Love your classic Mini too :o gawg!
