Hi

My mini is an eary Mk1 850. I have removed the old battery. as it has given up the ghost. In purchased a new battery from halfords, and it has a cranking power of 300 written on it. however, the old battery had a cranking power of 360.

The car has a lucas inertia starter and the engine is an 850. Will a cranking power of 300 be enough?

Thanks
John

Unless the compression ratio has been significantly raised a CCA of 300 amps should be fine.
