Iv just had the frot end replaced and haven't painted or anything yet, also don't have a grill back on yet but it looks like it's going to rain and I need to drive to work tomorrow, I had a sheet of plastic that stayed on because the it was attached with the screws that held the grill on.
I have a mk 1 bonnet and not sure if it will sit under it to hold it in any ideas what I could do? Or should injust cover everything in wd40 avoid puddles an pray?
Cheers

get a marigold glove, chop the ends of the fingers off, feed your ignition leads through each finger, cable tie the wrist part of the glove behind the dizzy and cable tie the end of each figer round each lead. keeps the water out and keeps you moving.

Aha! I knew I'd heard something about gloves but thought I was imagining it! Thanks

cable tie the top two holes around the hosing that runs by the cyclinder head, don't bother with fastening on the bottom clip as its pointless anyway.

worked on mine for 3 years like that

Do bear in mind that it's not actually legal to drive your car with the grille removed. There must be something fitted to prevent access to the moving belts and fan.
