I am half way through replacing the sills on my mini. Passenger side is done. Driver side still to do.

I have give the new passenger sill 3 coats of Hamerite No.1 rust beater paint. And filled the sills with WaxOil.
However I don't want to use WaxOil for the underseal as I doesn't appear to set which I guess is a good thing for inside sills and the box sections.

Can anyone recommend a tough underseal (bitumastic?) that will set hard and provide armoured protection against stones and the like for the underside of me mini.

Cheers.

I use the waxoyl underbody seal. Comes in a tin and just brush on. Seems pretty good and remains tacky so never "sets".

I don't really want to use waxoyl I would prefer a hard setting stone chip barrier like what is on my mini from out the factory.

Tetra shultz with a air gun is good.

something like this - http://www.frost.co....pro...(1 litre)

you will need a gun there about £15

rember to cleaning out well with thinnners as they often clog up

i once painted the underside of a car in bitumen paint, think it was described as waterproofing for roofing etc, came in a 2.5ltr tin and was onyl a few quid and goes miles and does set after a day or so and is shiny so doesnt attract muck like underseal does. give me a day or two and ill let you know where its from.
