Hi all
The car has started to develop an annoying rattle/bang while driving. It doesnt happen all the time but certain moves will make it happen i.e going round a bumpy corner.
Its not happened since ive owned the car. Ive noticed that if i hold thewheel there is a bit of play when i move it, while the o/s/f has no movement. Could it be a bearing (although its not a continuos grinding) or a control arm?
Any advice would be helpful as ive only got today to have a look.
Thanks
Johnny

yea i might have the answer to one question at last!!
it could well be a broken stone guard. i had this on mine and the rattle will get worse. just take it off and its gone
hope that helps

If thats the plate that goes around the brake disc, ive already removed that a few weeks ago as it was rattling!!!
If anything, this new noise is more of a clonking/knocking

not too hard to do.
i did mine but kept the hub on the car which is meant to be harder but found it ok to.
search in the faq's on how to do it
