Hey guys,

I haven't been on here for a while... quietly working on the car... Anyway she is due to go for an MOT later this week. I have been able to get her insured with temporary cover on my current policy. Through the same insurance broker I tried to get a quote for an annual policy and they refused due to the modifications.

My daily isn't standard either!

The mods on my mini are, fibreglass front, suspension, braided brake lines, 1275 metro engine, stripped interior, and I think that is about it in the grand scheme of things.

Who do you guys use for your insurance and how much do you pay?

Cheers for any advice.

Mike

My last insurance was with Footman James and I paid £143 for the year. 6000 mile cap, mods are MG Metro Engine, Alloys, Roll Cage, Stage 1 Kit. I was 28 at the time. Been in storage since. (year or so) Hope it helps you get a better idea.

Thanks for moving this to the correct area.

Thanks Chunkomunko for the info I will give them a call. The insurance company i spoke to said if it had a roll cage they wouldn't touch it at all. Which is a bit of a pain when that is the next thing i'm looking to add to the car!

Thanks again!

quite alot of companies wont insure if it has a roll cage even though you would think it is safer i think its due to the fact that some people who fit a roll cage rely more on the extra security rather than driver ability and so crash and stastics then show more people with roll cages crash
damn statistics :mmkay:

Sounds like it's time for a different insurer. :mmkay:
