this week alone my exhaust came clean off braking both exhaust hangers and 2 exhaust brackets, my choke cable got stuck and like a noob i thought pulling as hard as i could was going to help so thats now broken. its currently suffering with a misfire thats been on and off for the past month. and one of the bonnet brackets snapped so my bonnet is currently bodged on. lol
i think i may bite the bullet and get a golf DD and work on the mini over a couple of years. what you guys reckon.
I REALLY WANT MY WEEKEND'S BACK

Sometimes they both are. Luckily I have a Discovery as a backup/family car. When all three are broken I get lifts.
What's the moral of this story. Rover products can be unreliable, but at least the parts are out there and you can DIY if you have a bit of a clue.
The wife's Golf TDI, forget it straight to the garage. Even the throttle is flyby wire. No cables to replace engine error light and a £400 bill,
At least I can fix Mini's
