ive got a 1986 mini n the tapets r getin worse lol. ive had them dun a few times buy they just keep going back if u get me. just wounderin if you can buy new tapits set or owat 2 stop this noise. cheers :grin:

I would be concerned why the noise keeps coming back. Once adjusted they should be ok for a few thousand miles at least! Does it look like there is any thread damaged on the rockers (the locknuts at the back should keep the adjustment correct)
If you really do need new tappets (it will actually be the rockers you need) look on:
Minispares
type in 'rockers' in the shop search and they should have some

wod it be the roller rockers adjuster screw for titans mate

It's impossible to know what is worn without me seeing the car. The roller rocker assembly would be an upgrade.
If the thread is pooped on the adjusters it is not the Titan one you want though! I guess you will have standard rockers. If you aren't certain what is worn, I would get it checked out to be honest!

Silly question, but when you take the car to get them checked, is the car left to get cold first, as the "valve clearance" should be set cold...
Also there will always be some clicking from the tappets, it's not an OHC modern vehicle with hydralically adjusted ones..
