hi,
ive recently bought my first mini, its a 98 cooper sports le ive had a sportex rear boxsta silencer and air filter put on.
ive now got a couple of hundred quid to spend on malcolm the mini and was wondering what would give the best BHP returns bar chippin it
ive been looking at decatting and goin for a lcb but do i need an inlet manifold aswell?
any suggestions? cheers nathan

As for more bhp, first get rid of the boxter box as that's robbing what horse power you have...
Changing to an LCB and retaining the cat is possible, you may struggle with emissions if you de cat completely...
Another option, and if you have the know how to do yourself, is to change the final drive from the stoopid 2.7 they put in the late model minis to a 3.1 or something like that... for the expense of a little higher engine speed @ 70 about 3.7k instead of 3.25K, it'll feel like you've got an extra 20 horses...
