hey guys :o

been debating whether to mud flap the car or not and was wondering if it were possible to make your own or not?

if so, how would i do it and what sort or material would i use?

its easy, you just need a flat sheet of a rubber type material, about 2mm thick, a length of 1" flat bar, a couple of screws and some sharp scissors to cut the rubber sheet. you just cut them to the shape you want, drill a few holes into the flat bar (this is used to clamp the arches in place, being a bigger surface area than just screw heads holding the flap on) and mount the flaps to your inner wing/rear wheel arch... simple! try looking on fleabay for the rubber sheet, im sure you can get different colours!

There is a well-known mail-order company called Demon Tweeks who do lots of parts and accessories for motor sport. The do mud flap material in a variety of colours for a sensible price. Take a look at their web site.
