stick to them like mad and some are cracked in places or coming off rivets.
I plan to buy new ones which are cheap as chips it seems are they all the same or is there different types genuine etc?
Then rivnut them on so can remove easily in future.
As for paint im either thinking black or same red as body but can i use standard paints with a primer or need special plastic paint?

thats up to you mate depends if you want them painted or not, it will be hard to match the red of the body perfectly and i think the black looks good

if you do decide to paint them i think you'll be needing plastic primer or etch primer so it will stick to the plastic and does not run off

Slightly off topic, but I was wondering about this for my hub caps?

All of the standard black plastic arches are the same, actually I think the original rover ones might be a darker shade of grey? but all the ones you get from a supplier will be black now. Colour coded ones can look nice aswell but these will need to be sprayed yourself.

If you don't feel comfortable spraying them up yourself and funds allow then get a new set altogether, can't beat new stuff really

I will for sure replacing them at some point as they had it cracked etc and dont know what lurks behind em, if red dont turn out so well a nice semi gloss black be good!
Good to know all black now and about £18 from mini spares! cool

You can get a aerosol textured bumper paint that is black and sticks straight to the plastic if you where on a budget . i used it on my corsa before i sold it and it really made it look like i had new bumpers

We found the Turtle Wax Black Chrome stuff does a great job!
All black plastic bits on my white Sprite look shiny and new now.
(and yes, I know the topic's old... but some things don't change, do they? )

I've had special arches colour coded with the roof. Looks pretty good.
