well i have sold my mark one and finnished of my new mini which i kept a little quite till it was finnished today. sooooooooooooooooooo happpy will get some picks up. how ever the steering appears to be really heavy compared to the mk1 and it seams to take a good half hour before i can take me choke off is that normal for a much later mini.
I have now a british racing green 1990 standard 998cc in absolute imaculate condition with only 33k on the clock

first thing I would do is grease the balljoints and see how it feels after a good few miles driving.

It takes 15/20 mins to drive the 12 miles from Stafford to Gailey roundabout, early doors. And by then my Mayfair will only just be warming up,so don't worry,I think it's normal. It's a lovely roundabout,if there's no one about I'll go round 2 or 3 times. For the fun of it.

what condition are your bushes in? worn bushes can really throw the geometry out.

Does it self centre out of corners? If it's a bit sluggish to do so look at the BJ's first.
