Well today I ventured out for the first time after bleeding the clutch a billion times then realizing it was stuck!
Clutch freed off and works fine now
ok so first thoughts, the throttle needs some attention as it's so sensitive it could do with greater pedal travel to slow down the action
the clutch also being the stock r1 clutch is either on or off I've stalled the mini a hundred times so far !, I guess I'll have to fit a barnet clutch
I have an accumen gear indicator but I haven't worked out how to set it any ideas?
Also and annoyingly the r1 clocks rev counter stopped working just before the test at a certain rev range I'll have to look in to that promptly
all in all the performance was impressive but as I drove my mini with no rev counter or gear indicator I should have been happier than I was.
Obviously I'll sort the boggles out and venture out again
anyone else experienced the same as me and how did you solve these issues ?
Cheers
Jon

had a similar problem with the clocks on my R6 - all of a sudden they would just go dead.
i found out to my cost some time later when i got stranded with a dead bike - the regulator/rectifier had been on its last legs and then gave up the ghost.
wasn't all bad though as it meant i missed Englands dismal thrashing by Germany in this years World Cup

Lol, well I'll check the rectifier and the yamaha workshop manual also I'm going to re drill the accelerator pedal to gain more travel and fit a spring to the clutch pedal assembly to alter the feel before I tackle the gear indicator .

The Metro clutch master is a smaller bore. They also had a hydraulic damper, didn't do anything noticeable on a Metty so it'd be cool if someone found a use for it.

I have an acumen gear indicator, do you have the instructions? if not i could scan and e mail them although im sure they are available from there website.
From memory and it was by luck rather than understanding the instructions.
you will need to venture out to a dual carrage way at night or put the car on axile stands as you need time to drive forward at a set speed. push the key into the slot on the back and press for 5 secs or until the display changes. select first and drive forward, at a certain rev it will change display and thats first programed. then you have to press the key in twice next time to tell it to program second and so on.
i know thats a bit vague now but ill dig out the instructions tomorrow and be a bit more help.

trust me that you need a full barnett clutch with springs and that will help with the pulling away. the standard clutch wont last long if you drive it in traffic for long.
