1997 mpi

went for a lovely drive in country lanes last night, pulled over in a carpark to meet a mate, bunch of chavs blocked the entrance, got out and started ripping and kicking my car appart FOR NO REASION!

basicly tried to bump over a ditch at a fair bit of speed in fear of my life

engine is running fine, but in gear it makes a big wurling and clanging noise, and will not move

any ideas ?
anything that has a habbit of getting knocked loose?
thanks

what a depressing first post

Country lanes? Blimey, they seem to get everywhere these days! Maybe worth returning without the Mini and a very angry big dog?

selects gears fine

yeah just a bit. pretty much everything that could be kicked or ripped off, has been. but thats only an excuse to replace it with shinny chrome, no dents that will not pop out. so im not to worried to about that
just want the thing to move again

i take it you were alone when this happened. i cant beleave people would do that to a car that has pretty much inspiered everything. i cant post what i would do if that happened to me. i hope you get your car sorted and looking beta than ever.

good luck in what you decide to do

I would friggin' kill these people if they did that to my car. I nearly poured turpentine on my friends' car for bumping into my car while trying to box me in.

Did your mate see who they were?

Arses, hope the car is ok. I keep a 2 foot bar under the back seat i use it for changing wheels mostly but ive often thought it would come in handy in the event of chav attack.

Probably best not to seek revenge though. Different if its self defence. Revenge tends to be frowned upon by the police.
