Thought I'd introduce myself and my Minis;

Bought from my dads' boss (Hugh Wheldon) I'd been lusting after it since I was a wee small lad. Story is that his brother Andrew and he built it for Hugh to race in the saloon car championship in addition to doing rallycross. However he preferred (and was more successful) at rallycross so this car was shelved (minus engine and a few bits) while Hugh went on to win the rallycross champoinship outright (ahead of works teams!), gain Special Tuning support and a drive in the 4wd Clubman. So this was left to languish in a corner of a barn until about 2006 when it had to be moved due to the barn roof becoming unsafe. A chance meeting with Hugh and a little negotiating later and it was finally mine! :lol: As the shell was cherry all I've done is assemble it with some aquired bits n pieces in keeping with it's ahem, worn appearance. Currently enjoying road and trackday use / abuse in between breakages / running issues >:( (reason I found myself here, but I digress)

And there's this;

Unstarted pick up project, another find from dads' work :D It's a fruit farm and the pick ups are just the right size for flying betwwen rows of trees in the orchards! This was one of the last 3 they had on the farm, all of which had been run until gaining another MOT was uneconomic. This one had come off the road first, so had had less 'bodging along' but had been cannabalised for the light, fuel tank and a few bits. Currently collecting the bits to get it back on the black top.

And, erm, this;

Mini based McCoy kit car

Apparently one of 100 made the design is based on the Imp based Clan Crusader but on Mini commercial type layout / mechanicals. Like a lot of kits it's a bit Marmite but I've grown attached to the old pedalo as we call it lately as I've been using it for work and the odd show. My dad and I bought it from one of my old customers who'd upgraded to one with a turbo lump because it was cheap and had a new subframe, good Cobra recliners and rebuilt 1275 motor. Been more mine than dads lately since he's started playing with old tractors!

Think that covers it for now.....
