Well seeing that it’s quiet out here on Z-building floor I’ll see what I can bring to those needing a fix.

I bought this mini 12 years ago from a dude that had a sub stanchly high Beer-tab at the Pub, now my main concern was “this dude shouldn’t be out drink’n and driving?!?!? He could smash his Mini and that would be a terrible loss”.
So without knowing what the total on the tab was, I put the offer on the table to pay off the tab in return for the Mini… He thought about it and it took a few pint’s and a few hours of smooth talk’n, but he came around and we had a deal…
Then it hit me!?!?!? I should have really found out what I’m agreeing to. =o/
I went up to the bartender and asked to see the tab…….. The tender made a comment about his tab “Oh that guy!?!” and the fact that he had the bill pined up on a board made me think I was in for a shock’r and I was going to have to rethink my offer. Well the tender handed me the tab and I opened it up… $700.00CaD =oD this was less than what I was expecting by far, as my oil rig friend and I would double this in one night back in the day.. I scrambled for my bank card and paid it off…. The next day I went to his house where we did up the sales agreement, singed it over to me and I drove it home..... The rest is history.

I've been researching and planning my restoration build now for over 5 years. My plan is to end up with a Zeemax, Zcar, Type-S Mini…

So here we begin the journey…….

It's time to rip into the little sucker..... Driver's STOP your engines....

I think I need to drink where you drink.

I'd love to pick up a Mini, even a basket case, for 700 cad :) :D .

Cheers man, good luck on your build!

What size engine was that in the mini? Are you planning to scrap it?

Chris,
The engine is a 12G295 Cooper head. It’s an upgraded 998cc small-bore head.
I'm open to selling it, shoot me an e-mail and we can discuss things from there.
>[email protected]<

All other original parts from my 73' & 69' Mini teardown's are up for sale.

Tested out a few new wheels on the grinder and drill, I don't know if I'll be needing to go to the sandblasting facility as they are doing a descent job??
its just time consuming but over all I'm happy with the results. :D

Those safety glasses in the last photo - arent they supposed to be for your eyes????? :o :) :) :)

I knew you would notice that. LOL :D
Ya I was undecided on whether or not to put this picture in just for this reason….. I was posing for the photo and forgot to put the safety glasses over my eyes….. Funny thing is, a few minutes later I had a red hot piece of shrapnel somehow find its way up behind the glasses and lodge itself in my eyelid 2mm from my eye… this woke me up and enforced the fact to not only wear the safety gear but to use the equipment properly and not get lazy, as these tools will without warning hurt you. :)
My eye is not in any way damaged or hurt other than it looks like I have a slight case of “pink-eye”.

I should be good for tonights works in the garage on the Mini and on the K20a2 Type-S Power-house…

Thanx, it‘s slow going but it is starting to look like a restoration project now.
And when the time comes I’ll be calling on Rogue Se7ens for your expertise on some Kevlar panels.
Some Mad skills you have there :D

Well I have the Mini Shell up on Stripper pole....... A.K.A. Rotisserie.
Now to get this Shell stripped of paint and rust, then to replace the rear valance, sills and 2 cancer spots on both wings on each side where the vents access thru the bulkhead

Well it's been a long time but I'm hoping to get the Mini project going again this summer....

I found these on an old Computer

It's Soooo nice not having to lay down under the Mini Shell to work on the Sill's and Valance...

After I chop the Cancer off I will Sand-Blast under the shell, just need a nice day now...
