My 1992 mini sprite keeps jumping out of second gear, causes no end of near crashes! Any suggestions?!

I havnt changed the gearbox oil for a while, it only jumps out of second. Sometimes I have to physically hold the gearstick back when im driving along!Done an oil change recently? Might help possibly

Gearbox rebuild time...
(though worth checking engine mounts to make sure that engine rock isnt pulling it out of gear....)
