from my limited knowledge of injection vehicles, looks like the lamda is all over the place, which could suggest that the lamda sensor is not reading, I'd be tempted to whip it out of the exhaust give it a clean and stick it back in and see what happens...

Also notice recent LCB change.. could be leaking air which will also upset the lamda.

lcb's dont help and if it has a crack in it, it will throw the lamba all over the place because it upsets the way the 4 gas is looked at (4gas is the lamba) also the lamba only reads 2 ports of gas rather than 3 so only 2 cylinders being looked at.

an oil flush and oil change normally helps too. then get it really hot before you take it in

When my 97 mpi failed its emissions it was a dodgy earth or the lambda sensor which was causing it to switch voltages out of its normal range (shouldnt go abouve 1volt) Also check the ambient air temp sensor. Mine was reading -213degrees :S
Good luck

if your LCB was cracked before changing it the chances are the engine steady bushes are on there way out. If they are it could mean the IACV caseing could have hit the bulkhead and fractured this can also cause higher emissions. The IACV (idle air control valve)(also called stepper motor) is mounted on the left hand side of the inlet manifold its a black unit with six or so wires going to it. Also is your fan working correctly ie coming on when up to temperature or is it running all the time. Does the fan spin ok aswell.

Hi, the LCB fractured around one pipe the one near the bottom bracket to gear box, I think caused by speed bumps in London. The fan cuts in when really hot other wise cuts out fine. I've ordered a new cat so will fit that tomorrow and also check a temperature sensor that others have mentioned in the post. Not sure where this is so will have to look in the morning. I'll check the Stepper motor for any damage at the same time, thanks for your response regards
