I need some advice on my recently fitted wheel arches. There are gaps between the body and the wheel arch and to me this seems wrong. Can I please get some advice as to whether this is acceptable or not. I really need some help. I have already had to send it back once and I am getting a bit upset about it now. Please, please, please can someone take a look at the attached pictures and give me some advice.

ive got that aswell on some arch's a friend of myn gave me, their fiberglass right? only thing ive been thinkin to do on myn is get some p40 and fill the gap

or sand the arch so its a similar shape and drill another hole to hold it closed

I'm not sure what they are. I took it to a garage and paid a lot of money for the work done. They apparently didn't use the arches that they normally do as they were going to take 4 weeks to order. However, they had my car for 7 weeks and knew I wanted wide wheel arches as soon as I took it in. Do I take it back to them again?

Is it possible for me to do this myself? I'm not sure about drilling holes in my car!!!
Does the P40 stuff look alright when it's on?
Is it possible to get thicker beading to put between the arches and body?

you can definately do it yourself, for myn we just drilled out the rivets for the standard arches and put some screws in there insted, can just drill a hole close to the bottom and do the same that would hold it pretty well, p40 would need some working to get it to look like the arch itself, need sanding priming painting etc, but if done right would look pretty nice.

and i doubt youd be able to find any trim thick enough to fill that gap, maybe a bit thicker but youd still need to drill it or something.

I filled my arches, it doesn't take that long but with the rubbing down and everything you'd have to re-spray some of the wing and arches. Here's a pic of mine (front and rear):
