Horrible Screeching Noise From Front End

i have a 1998 rover mini and lately there is a horrible screeching noise coming from the front end when turning and when slowing down. iv had a look around and i cant find anything that seems to cause it. has anyone had a simliar problem or heard of problems of this before?

Check the fan belt for correct tension. I had this problem and it seemed to coincide with a drop in temperature.(onset of autumn/winter)!i have a 1998 rover mini and lately there is a horrible screeching noise coming from the front end when turning and when slowing down. iv had a look around and i cant find anything that seems to cause it. has anyone had a simliar problem or heard of problems of this before?

well it seems asthough it was coming from the wheel area, suspension or something?

possibly a wheel bearing? Is the hub nut tight? Calipers loose?

make sure the back plate/dust covers not touching your brake disc look under front end and try bending/pulling them off the brake disc had this on mine
