Hello everybody,

I put some clear lenses on my 1990 mini and the brake light bulbs that came with them were really orange, they passed an MOT but i thought it would be better to get some that were actually red so i dont have any problems with the police etc. (they tend to pick on young drivers for silly things). So when i was at mini fest i bought some for 25p or something but they are pink, and i mean really pink! So, any suggestions, should i just keep buying bulbs until i find some that are red or is it just a problem that everyone has with clear lenses that i should just live with?

Cheers guys and gals

Dont they require wiring a resistor into the circuit though?

I was of the impression that LED's in headlights/rear lights/indicators were illegal? I may well be totally wrong, but i could swear i heard it somewhere or other? Maybe in a different application though?

Please tell me if im wrong...

No resistors needed unless your car has a Can-Bus system where it thinks you have a bulb out, but that doesn't apply to the Mini >_<

AFAIK, led bulbs are ok if they're e-marked. If you're worried about legality of them, don't fit them.
