What Distributor Can I Use?

Hi everyone

I need a bit more help, i have bought a 1992 1275 spi engine to fit in my 1979 mini 1000 but dont know what distributor to fit.

Any ideas anyone?

Have you got the injection system as well?

If you have you could use anything that fits as it is only used to turn the rotor arm. If you're running a carb use one of the nearest spec carb engine you can find, probably a late model 1275.

I have got the complete injection system loom and brain but i was going to junk that and run it on twin su carbs

Lucas 65dm4's where used on the 1275 metro and rsp engines so I would go for one of those, they are great dizzys. Electronic ignition aswell, all you will need is the plug for the dizzy which connects to the coil, available on minispares.
