You will see the reservoir near the servo on the right hand of your engine bay, should have two wires going to the cap, unscrew being careful not to damage the wires or disconnect them first and then top up as required.

Agreed!

If you live on flat ground then you can bump a Mini all by yourself.

Yea the rust is a right pain, think mine is going in the garage in the next couple of months for a winter home, back out in spring to play!

It must be brake week on the IOM.

Gagsinio was round here with his last night and all the fluid had gone out of the master cylinder. It turns out the rear hub had a huge leak and needs new brake cylinders.

Keep an eye on how much fluid you are having to top up, it might be something amiss. Probably the same problem.

by the way I have a booster pack if you get stuck for jump leads.

excuses excuses... I know... but... not got car running, booked in to garage on tuesday to get the brakes checked... cant see anything obvious... but no fluid in it what so ever... so thought it best to get it looked at...

...this meaning that i'm not going to get your wheel to you this weekend... but dont worry, I will get it to you once I am back on the road! i'm useless at this ain't I!?

having the car have a full once over before going away to study in a few weeks, dont want to end up having a dead car in england... (also means I actually have to get your wheel to you within the next week or so!)

Thanks Kerrin, got it started... but no brakes what so ever, filled it up and started bleeding the brakes and then though i'd best get it in a garage to give it a once over before I go away in a few weeks. so they can do the brakes then... dont really feel comfortable doing the brakes anyway...(not thats its a hard job... just would prefer the peace of mind that someone who knows what they are doing are looking at them!)

Yes better to get brakes done by some one who knows what they are doing.

But sounds like the slave cylinders.
