Hello all,
This is a bit of a strange one!!
I have a friend who I'm teaching car basics and general engine stuff, anyway we recently have talked about tuning, and the subject of over camming an engine came up, and i tried to explain to him you can tell from the sound of an engine if it has a lumpy camshaft. I then tried to describe to him the noise 'Bwop bwop bwop' but he doesn't A: believe me or B: get what kind of noise I'm talking about. As my engine is not built yet I can't give him a 1st hand hearing...

I'm wondering if anyone has a video or sound clip of there cars lumpy idle/ low revved acceleration to show him what I mean.

how about having a youtube session, theres lots on there, did have one of mine on there too but since deleted it...if you still need one tomorrow ill use any excuse to go start the mini at the moment

Ha, i was on Youtube, but didn't get far...if I'm honest I wanted a mini engine, as I'm trying to convince him to get one!

Heres a vid of my car with a morspeed phase 3 cam and ultralight flywheel. Both make it a little lumpy.

The start of the vid is messed up - Sounds like i'm revving it when its idling but at the end theres a good bit of 'bwop bwop bwop'
